Blocksy Companion: privilege escalation
What's happening
Blocksy Companion has a privilege escalation flaw in every version up to 2.1.58 (included): a low-privileged user can grant themselves administrator rights. Anyone can exploit it, without an account on the site. More than 300,000 websites use it.
What to do
Update Blocksy Companion to version 2.1.59 or later (Dashboard → Plugins in WordPress). If you can't update yet, deactivate it until you can.
